The family events are designed to encourage parents and children to work and learn together while having fun. We offer a range of events including Family Morning workshops, all day events and we celebrate national events such as, Museums and Galleries Month, Architecture Week and the Big Draw.
To encourage relaxed and interesting independent visits for you and your children this year we have launched a new Heritage Lottery funded family-friendly activity trail, to be known as Ditchling Museum’s 'Art Explorers Trail'. This free activity is for children aged 4-12 years and takes the family around the Museum, through a range of practical activities that can be found at the different Art Explorers posts situated at 3 sites in the Museum.
The trail is divided into three age groups and each group is represented by a colour: 4-6 Years, follow the RED trail; 7-9 Years, follow the GREEN trail; 10-12 Years, follow the BLUE trail. It all starts at the entrance to the Museum where each explorer can pick up a backpack to find out where their particular adventure will lead them. So, pop in and explore the Museum by using the trail!
